What happens if you don't contact us?
- DVA will contact you about your service using the contact details we have on your DHOAS records.
- If we cannot contact you, your service will be assessed using the data we have received from Defence to finalise the 2018-2019 financial year requirements.

Important Reminder for Reserves (Active, Inactive or CFTS) 2018-19
- Are you a Reservist (Active, Inactive or on CFTS) and receive a DHOAS subsidy above Tier 1?
- Are you aware, that in most cases, you need to complete 20 days of paid Reserve service between 1 July 2018 and 30 June 2019 to maintain a higher Tier subsidy?
- Do you know (or think) that you won't be completing 20 days of paid service prior to 30 June 2019?
- You can contact us on 1300 434 627 to discuss minimising any potential overpayment of your DHOAS subsidy.

DHOAS Christmas & New Year Holiday Period – 2018/19
Our office will be closed from Tuesday 25 December 2018 and will re-open on Wednesday 2 January 2019.

Subsidised Loan Limits
The Subsidised Loan Limits (SLLs) are updated each financial year to reflect 40% (Tier 1), 60% (Tier 2), and 80% (Tier 3) of the national weighted average housing price (NWAHP) in Australia.
This is to ensure that the SLLs stay relevant to the current housing market. For the 2018-2019 financial year, there is an increase to the NWAHP therefore, the SLLs will increase. These figures are now available on the DHOAS homepage.
DHOAS Office Closed
Our office will be closed on Monday 7th May 2018 due to a public holiday in QLD.
If you have any enquiries, please email DHOAS@dva.gov.au and we will respond to you when our office has re-opened on Tuesday 8th May 2018.

Defence One System Upgrade - Impact on DHOAS processing
Defence are currently upgrading their pay systems and clients may experience difficulty accessing their service records between 27 July 2017 and 7 August 2017.
This may have an impact on the ability to finalise the process for Applications for a DHOAS subsidy certificate, as a current ADO service record is required for the eligibility and entitlement assessment.
Applications can still be submitted without records, however, will be placed on hold until you are able to provide a copy of your service record.

The providers that represented the best overall benefit for ADF Members, as well as value for money for the Commonwealth, have been appointed to the panel, effective 1 July 2017.

DHOAS Rumour Mill & Scam Email
The DHOAS team are aware of rumours circulating that the Scheme may be closing or significantly changing later this year. This is simply not true.
If you have been told this rumour in your discussions with any bankers, please let us know.
The Scheme is here for your benefit and we will always try to ensure that you receive accurate information. Please be careful with anyone giving misleading information.
We are also aware of a scam email that is requesting your personal details to qualify for a “2016 subsidy benefit” and advise that you do not respond to this email.
